Three Cities - About The Play

Life would be a lot simpler if people would only “stop doing stupid sh*t” - or so the characters of Three Cities would have you believe. See the world through Trina, Elaine and Ashlee’s eyes with this darkly funny and captivating piece of new writing.
Tit for Tat Theatre brings this topical new play to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, exploring issues personal and political through witty interlinking monologues. Audiences are invited to this intimate theatre to eavesdrop on the musings of three women from Dublin, London and New York, as they offer their point of view on everything from iPhones to self-image, immigration and internet dating.

A one act play packed with witty anecdotes, sharp observations and touching moments, Three Cities will have you laughing despite yourself with its unique perspective on the world we live in. Three Cities stands apart from the crowd with its honest storytelling and ballsy characters who everyone can relate to, speaking for a generation of people who have never been more connected but so far apart. As the stories unravel in this engaging new work, audience members can begin to look at themselves and question whether – like these characters – they are everything they hoped to be, or whether we allow one moment to shape the rest of our lives.
